I joined this walking tour on my first day in Seoul and had a lovely experience. It was a great way to get my bearings in the city. Just a tip: make sure you wear comfortable shoes, as there are plenty of steep hills and stairs to navigate!
I originally booked for Friday night, but the trip got canceled due to the rain. June helped me reschedule it to Sunday evening. Our guide, Erin, was excellent. She gave us thorough instructions to Korean culture, the history of the area we visited and even prepared mosquito repellent for us. I can’t thank her more for the wonderful evening walk at Naksan Park and Hyehwa. I highly recommend this trip to people visiting Seoul.
Such a great casual tour and a good way to get your steps in for the day. Leah was my guide and she did amazing answering everyone’s questions and leading the way. Good opportunity for photos.
The Seoul Moonlight Walking Tour was one of the best tours we have done in Korea. Leah was an excellent tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. We walked through a "moon village" where she shared the history. We then walked up the staircase that is famous in alot of K-Dramas, where we then arrived at a phenomenal view of Seoul from the Seoul city wall and Naksan Park.
Really recommend the moonlight tour. In addition to the amazing views of Seoul, you’ll learn a lot about older Korean history & culture as well as the modern challenges Koreans face today. Our guide Ethan had a great sense of humor and was able to introduce the group to a lot of interesting sights without feeling rushed. He also gave the group recommendations for food and other potential areas of interest around Seoul, with directions on how to get there.
Thanks Lee-ah (pardon the wrong spelling), for bringing us not just for an amazing walk, but telling us the many stories both history and modern day, behind what we saw. Hope that window into Seoul from the wall photo justifies your walk.
Jessica’s walking tour was an incredible way to experience Seoul beyond the usual tourist spots. She guided us through hidden corners of the city, sharing fascinating stories about local culture and everyday life. One of the highlights was her insight into popular K‑dramas, a few filming spots and some history Jessica explained the history of Ewha Village and how it became known for its murals, even though today it feels much quieter. Her storytelling gave us a deeper appreciation of the community’s past and how it shaped the neighborhood. The walk itself includes some steep climbs, especially around Naksan Park and the City Wall, so be prepared — wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The effort is well worth it, as the nighttime views of Seoul are absolutely breathtaking. Jessica’s warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm made the tour feel personal and authentic. This is a must‑do experience for anyone wanting to discover Seoul’s hidden beauty under the moonlight.
Heavy rain happened after the tour commenced which affected a but the experience. Meanwhile, the guide was professional in handling the situation and shared lots of Korean cultural stuffs with the group to kill some time waiting for a less heavy rain. Topics shared such as local university culture are quite in-depth and the walk to Namshan Park and the old city wall does show a view of Seoul beyond its contemporary aspect.
We have a lovely experience with Jun. The tour requires a bit of walking but you’ll be stopping frequently so you’ll have plenty of time to rest. We got to see amazing seoul views as well as learn more about korean society/residents of seoul.
We had a very interesting and memorable tour of Seoul with Smin. She shared a lot of insightful facts about the city—how it has evolved over time, and what life is like for people living there today. We especially appreciated how she talked about the pressures many people face, particularly students. It gave us a deeper understanding of Korean society beyond just the sights. One of the highlights was going up to Namsan Park to see the beautiful night view of Seoul. Smin’s realistic and honest way of explaining things made the experience feel very genuine and meaningful. What made the tour even more special was that after it ended, Smin joined us and took us to her favorite chicken restaurant. It was such a kind gesture and a great way to end the evening. All in all, it was a very good tour. We’re thankful to Smin for sharing her time, knowledge, and a bit of her local life with us.
